Mom Hacks {part 2}

Because Kids:

So, I had my bestie over this weekend to give me tips on organizing and creating systems that work. {You guessed it, it’s coming in my Winning at Home series!} But I’ll give you a little teaser… If you have an iPhone, did you know Siri has upped her game? I learned that you can say things like, “Hey Siri, remind me to put chicken in the crockpot when I get Home,” OR “Hey Siri, remind me to buy waters for school party on Thursday at 1:30.” On the first one she will remind you when you arrive at a destination. Pause for a moment. Yes, really! “Hey Siri, remind me when I arrive at Target my budget today is $25.” {May not help you there, but you get the idea!} The reminders feature in the iPhone has gotten so much better. You can even have a shared List with say a spouse for groceries or honey-do items. You may already be doing this but since I did not know how to use Siri as my personal assistant I thought I would share. Genius!

Soul Care:

I love to read. I don’t have the amount of time to spend on it that I would like but I read most nights until I fall asleep. Here are my current “soul care” reads on my night stand.You Are Free: Be Who You Already Are by Rebekah Lyons Unseen by Sara Hagerty, Nothing to Prove by Jennie Allen. Then my newest addition to the club {because did you see me going all fan girl when I met her?!} Love Your Life, Not Theirs by Rachel Cruze They are all wonderful and have so much truth!! For some reason I feel like they all have a similar theme. Hmmm, what does that say about what I’m learning right now.

Filling bellies:

If you’re meal planning for the week or making your grocery list check out this easy chicken for lunches for the week or served for dinner. You have to plan ahead because it cooks all day. But it cooks all day and takes maybe 5 to 10 minutes max to throw together!
